- Occupancy-based on/off and dimming control - several fixtures have embedded occupancy sensors to turn lights on/off or adjust the amount of light based on the people present - whether or not there is movement.
- Daylight-based on/off and dimming control - several fixtures have embedded photocell sensors for daylight harvesting to turn lights on/off or adjust the amount of light based on the amount of daylight available.
- Motion-based on/off and dimming controls - a group of fixtures can be wired to one or more PIR motion sensors to turn lights on/off based on the movement in the area. With 360-degree coverage, a single sensor (installed in a corner or the center) is enough to control a group of lights on a wired network in a room or area.
